Acting Mayor Natalia Muszkat and Scott Kruger joined us.
Ideas were shared. Volunteers stepped up. Priorities were set.

Restoring our community hub – together.
We don't agree on much. But we agree on this: Fix Flat Rock.
Community Meeting Summary
On May 9, 2026, the Baffle Creek community gathered at Flat Rock. Acting Mayor Natalia Muszkat and Scott Kruger joined us from Gladstone.
✅ Two priorities passed:
- Beach sand replenishment – Approved by the community
- Build a groin – To stabilise the area and help sand remain
⏳ Other priorities discussed:
- BBQs instead of bollards (short-term priority)
- Playground enhancements (shade, slide, basketball hoop)
- Roadworks to prevent erosion on the creek side
- Fixing the new boat ramp (needs investigation)
The Problem
Flat Rock was once our heart: kids' parties, engagements, weddings, the Raft Race, fishing, boating, the Boat Club packed with hundreds. Now? The main area is submerging. Rocks are razor-sharp. BBQs and shelters have vanished. The playground is a tired, unshaded relic.
